Originally from Manitoba, Tammy moved to the valley in 2007. Tammy has a history in the veterinary field, working many years as a veterinary assistant at the Calgary Humane Society, Rockyview Wildlife Recovery (now known as the Alberta Wildlife Institute) and veterinary clinics both in Calgary and Victoria.

Tammy took a hiatus to raise two beautiful daughters with her husband, 2 dogs, 2 cats, chickens and a 30-year-old Boa Constrictor. During that time, she embraced the beauty of the valley on many hikes, kayaking, camping, gardening, ice fishing, etc.

Tammy joined the Invermere Valley Hospital team in August 2021 working in Client care and quickly realized her passion to become a Registered Veterinary Technician after all those years. Tammy expects to be graduating from the Penn Foster’s Veterinary Technician Degree program in 2025. She appreciates all the support she has received from her team.  Tammy looks forward to taking care of the pets in our care everyday!
