Dana

Originally from Oro-Medonte Ontario, Dana started at the Invermere Veterinary Hospital in March of 2012, after moving to Invermere with her husband Jesse. She graduated from the Veterinary Technician program at Georgian College in 2010 and fulfilled all the requirements to register shortly after. Her passion is for all things related to anesthesia and pain management, as well as providing the best care to our geriatric patients. She recently completed her Fear Free Certification, which has given her numerous tools to help make our patients feel more comfortable and relaxed during their hospital visit.

In her free time, Dana enjoys spending time with her 13-year-old Elkhound cross “Ella” (who was the first dog that was assigned to her in Tech school), camping anywhere without cell phone service, hiking, photography and hanging out with friends and family.

The best part of working at the Invermere Veterinary Hospital is loving what I do and having the opportunity every day to work with an amazing group of people.  We have so many amazing clients and patients that make every day interesting and enjoyable. There is also not another clinic like ours, where in one day you can go from treating a puppy to a snake and then on to an eagle or a cougar. Everyday keeps you on your toes because you never know what is going to come in next.”
